Bixby Creek Bridge Monterey
Bixby Creek Bridge Monterey is one of the largest single-arch concrete bridge in the world. Situated 13 miles south of Carmel in Monterey County, it is 714 feet long with a main arch span of 320 feet, and is 285 feet high above Bixby Creek, hence the name Bixby Creek Bridge.
The Bixby Creek Bridge Monterey which was built in 1932, was built to connect the unconnected to the rest of California. This historical bridge is a popular subject for photographers and sightseeing. The arches are almost 9 feet thick and are 5 feet wide. It is one the most-photographed manmade structures on the West Coast.
